This is the first in a 4-part series of some cool video shot by Steve (2phun) in his 2005 MINI Cooper S Convertible while driving the Dragon a few weeks ago. I must say - AWESOME camera mounts providing some spectacular scenery. I wish I could post the DVD-quality video of this run. I watched the full res footage a few times on my Hi-Def tv earlier and all I can say is DANG! I wish I was there. I may just have to see about going up next Spring with all the other MINIs.

MINI.com has posted some official wallpaper of the 2007 JCW aero kit. At first I must admit I was not crazy about it, but it may be starting to grow on me (did I just say that??) . That rear end sure looks a bit different wouldn’t you say?

For all of us who have ordered MINIs before and received our production numbers, only to find ourselves logging in to the MINI Owners’ Lounge to see the dreaded “On Order” message, this video helped take the edge off waiting for our cars to be built. I remember watching a few times when I ordered both of my MINIs. Thanks to Leo for finding it on Google Video!

This is a very sweet promo video for the 210bhp John Cooper Works tuning packages for the MINI Cooper and MINI Cooper S hosted my Michael Cooper himself.

Here is the second wallpaper in the MOTORINGFUN.com Desktop Wallpaper Collection. It is a picture of my friend Greg’s 2006 MINI Cooper S named “Earl”. Earl is sporting an M7 front grille assortment along with an M7 carbon fiber front splitter. The hood scoop is a custom job that was made by hand. Wheel arches and aero kit painted to match the body color. I may just have to invite Greg to post a full review of all the goodies he has added to his ride. Well enough about all the details…. let’s see it! I call this one “My Name is Earl”.

Yesterday I attended the Fox Lake British Car Show presented by the MG Car Club of Florida. The event was held in Titusville, Florida, and it was an absolute blast. As soon as I get a chance to sift through the hundreds of pictures, I will post them here, so you can see the awesome variety of British car history that was present. There was even a not-so-historical 2003 MG there! VERY cool stuff. Anyways… we managed to get a few of the MINIs (and Minis) together for a group shot by the lake. The photo shoot gave me an idea for a MOTORINGFUN.com Desktop Wallpaper Collection. Tonight I would like to present the first in the series - “Minis at the Lake”…
