I was over at Moroso Motorsports Park in West Palm Beach, FL this weekend and ran into none other than - Phil Wicks! We chatted about some MINI stuff as always and of course, talked about the upcoming Phil Wicks MINI Driving Academy @ Sebring on June 16, 2007 sponsored by Minspeed. Rounds 8 and 9 of the North American MINI Cooper Championship Race Series will also run that weekend. So make sure you register and come out for some fun track time and to watch some real MINI wheel-to-wheel racing! Also, Minspeed is offering $75 discounts to the first 25 people to sign up so you have no excuse not to come!

Minspeed presents… The Phil Wicks MINI Driving Academy at Sebring International Raceway on June 16, 2007.

This will be a one day event, open to Novice and Experienced Drivers. THERE WILL BE ONLY MINIs ON THE TRACK for the day. No shared track time this year! I have been guaranteed plenty of instructors will be on hand as well so everyone will be served. In addition, we will do the skidpad event like we did at Moroso a couple of years back - that was fun!

The first 20 registrants to sign up this year thru Minspeed (by phone, email, snail mail or fax) will get a $75.00 discount off the normal fee of $300.00. Do the math - that gets you in at $225.00. Not a bad deal! Registration form can be downloaded here.

Since the event is a one day run, we have not made any hotel arrangements. If you would like to stay overnight before or that evening, I can recommend the Inn on the Lake (3100 Golfview Dr., Sebring, FL 33875/ Tele: 863-471-9400).

Registration will be limited this year so if you can make it or want to attend, please sign up early.

Registration will close on or about June 1. You will NOT be permitted to drive up on the morning of the program and register. Tech inspections should be done prior to arriving by a qualified firm or will be done that morning prior to the event starting.

Those who have participated in previous events have enjoyed them and the fellowship with other MINI drivers. These events are always a lot of fun and you can let your Walter Mitty cut loose for the day!
