For those who do not know - some owners have discovered small areas of rust starting to form under the driver and passenger door seals of 2002 - 2006 MINIs. It appears the seal traps moisture, which is causing the rust to start forming in certain environments. If you are one of those MINI owners who have found rust under your door seals and have gotten denied service under warranty from your dealer, you may be interested in this technical bulletin sent to dealers back in January of 2007.
