For those who do not know – some owners have discovered small areas of rust starting to form under the driver and passenger door seals of 2002 – 2006 MINIs. It appears the seal traps moisture, which is causing the rust to start forming in certain environments. If you are one of those MINI owners who have found rust under your door seals and have gotten denied service under warranty from your dealer, you may be interested in this technical bulletin sent to dealers back in January of 2007. Hopefully it will help you get your issues straightened out.

Do you have any suggestions for a source of these TSB’s? There was a site on the web that allowed you to look up these TSB’s for free, but it is now a subscription site. And as we know, free is best……LOL
