Let me first start off by saying that I love the F56 JCW Pro Tuning Kit Exhaust!! When it is in track mode (with baffle open), the MINI just sounds mean! It adds such a visceral feel to the driving experience that many owners have asked how does one go about leaving the system in track mode all the time (remember that by default, the baffle is closed and you must press twice on the bluetooth remote to open it up)?? 
After having some random baffle closing issues, I decided that while my dealer was troubleshooting, I also wanted my exhaust set to track mode by default as well so here are the steps to make this happen:
- Start the car’s engine
- Set the exhaust to track mode by double clicking on the bluetooth remote to open the baffle
- With the baffle open, open the rear access panel in the passenger side of the boot
- Locate the black exhaust control module and the wiring harness that is plugged into it
- Unplug the wiring harness (again, while the baffle is OPEN)
- That’s it! The baffle will now stay open 🙂
