Last night, my MINI buddy Scottie used the MINI Motorby program in a most unique and AWESOME way. He used it to propose to his girlfriend, Marle for all to see. And DID they all see!! You see, not only did MINIUSA help out Scottie to arrange the customized Motorby message, they also arranged for local TV crews to cover the most memorable event! Complete with TV helicopters circling overhead, Marle said yes! Check out the video and local news coverage at the links below. UPDATE: Scottie and Luis provided some photos of the event and the MINI USA Swag that was sent to the happy couple, including a letter signed by the MINI USA staff, including Jim McDowell. Check the gallery link below for more!
I personally want to send out a HUGE congratulations to such a great couple. Motor on!
If you have been in New York in the past month or so, you just might have seen this awesome ad campaign while traveling through Times Square (click the photos for larger versions):
Special thanks to diedhairbri and TampaMCS for these awesome shots!
Are you going through Hammer and Coop withdrawal yet? Did the last episode leave you wanting more? Have no fear - we have a special treat for you! Our good friends at MC2 Magazine have sent us a sneak peak into what is coming in the next issue of MC2 Magazine, issue #8 (May/June 2007): The Hammer and Coop Iron-On Transfer!!!
That’s right - now you can make your very own Hammer and Coop t-shirt! The iron-on transfer will be included in every issue of the May/June, 2007 issue of MC2 Magazine which will be mailed out around April 28th to all paid subscribers. If anyone wants extra copies to make some shirts for family and friends, MC2Magazine.com will have them for sale in the back issues section for the usual $9, including shipping, starting in early May.
UPDATE: If you live east of the Mississippi River and want extra copies of this iron-on, head over to your local Books A Million as they should have them in stock. Of course you can still log into MC2Magazine.com under the back issues section and they should get mailed out 1st class mail the week you order it!
Thanks to MotoringFun.com reader Roger for sending in this cool ad picturing an R56 2009 MINI Cooper Convertible. Note the error showing the car as a 2007 MINI Cooper Convertible… Oops…
Thanks to montyformula1 for capturing this video clip of the MINI Motorby billboard down in Miami. The more I see pictures of these billboards, the more I want my key fob. MINI - are you listening? Where’s my fob?!?
Check out these 2 new MINI Cooper D commercials. They contain the clever MINI creativity that made previous MINI commercials so fun to watch and, the fact that they end with “To Be Continued…”, let’s us know there is more to come! Sit back and enjoy:
