This past weekend we had another Sunshine MINIs Dyno Day and this time around we had everything from an R53 to an R56 to a JCW GP to a F56 JCW!! In all, 10 cars came out to see what they had under the hood. The results were quite interesting:

This past weekend, the Gold Coast MINIs and MINIs of Brevard got together for a drive-through safari adventure at Lion Country Safari in West Palm Beach, FL. Here is a slideshow of the event. Thanks to all who came out and helped make it a great event!
In just a few short days, my son and I will be setting out on MINI Takes The States 2016 with over 1,000 other fellow MINI owners on the most epic cross-country road rally!! Since I will be driving, Christian will be tasked with navigator and dj duties as well as blogging duties along the route. Stay tuned for daily updates (hopefully lol) as we head North and then West!
Next week kicks off the most epic cross-country rally I have ever been a part of – MINI Takes The States 2016!! In addition to seeing parts of the country that I have never seen before, we will be raising money to help Feed America through the MINI Defy Hunger Give a Meal Team Challenge. To help raise awareness, I have put together an Apple Watch face that you can download and proudly display that showcases the Just Us League logo and the MINI Takes The States 2016 badge. As promised, here is a video showing one of our Dragon runs from MINIs on the Dragon 2016 a couple of weeks ago. Myself and my friends Todd and Terrence took a spirited ride down US 129 aka The Dragon and it was an absolute blast. Hope you enjoy!
Last week I took Clark up for MINIs On The Dragon to join about 900 other MINIacs driving the mountain roads of North Carolina and Tennessee. The previous MINIs On The Dragon events I attended were done in my previous 2006 MINI Cooper S, Scooter, so I was looking forward to bringing my 2016 F56 MINI up there for some comparison. I have spent quite a bit of time working on setting up Clark to at least match the handling of Scooter and driving the Dragon (US 129) is a sure way to test the setup out.
This past weekend I entered my first non-MINI-only car show – Wheels Across The Pond 2016. I have attended the show as a spectator in the past, but never had an entry. The show draws about 250 registrants showing off their cars in over 30 different classes. I entered Clark in the Modern MINI class and the competition was fierce. 
My good friend, Jackie Hardy, presented her MINI Clubvan, Preston (a Wallace and Gromit Anti Pesto van-themed MINI) – always a crowd favorite. Michelle and Howie Rosenberg showed off their Green Lantern themed MINI, Kilowog, among other great MINIs. All in all, there were quite a few MINIs that came to impress so Clark needed to put on his cape and become “SuperMINI”. 
After the voting finished and the tallies counted, Jackie Hardy took 3rd place with Preston, Michael Rose took 2nd with his silver R56 Cooper S and Clark took 1st place in the Modern MINI class!!!!
This past weekend I was privileged to cheer on the 3 John Cooper Works MINIs from LAP Motorsports in the latest round of the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge at Sebring International Raceway. 
LAP Motorsports and MINI USA put on a great hospitality paddock for us MINIacs that attended the race complete with a driver meet and greet before the race and a full lunch during the race.
For the past eleven years, I have joined other MINIacs at the Walt Disney World Resort for the annual Mickey & MINI event that takes place each September. This year’s festivities were awesome and everyone had a fabulous time! If you haven’t had a chance to make it to a Mickey & MINI, you really need to plan on coming next year.
