For those that missed MINI Takes the States or for those that want more MINI “motoring fun”, North East MINI (NEMI.org) is putting together an East Coast MINI event that starts in Florida and ends in Maine (or even New Hampshire for those true MINIacs!)
“A MINI event dedicated to MINI owners who just can’t get enough… you guessed it… ice cream! How much is not enough? How about a seven day trip from Florida up to Maine including stops at some of the best ice cream shops you’ll ever visit? We’re not talking Carvel or Dairy Queen here. We’re talking homemade ice cream!
And for the real enthusiast, how about topping off the whole trip with MINIs on Top 2007?” That’s right! This trip is timed so that those interested can wander over to New Hampshire the day before MOT begins OR stay in Bar Harbor overnight and do the full sunrise to sunset MOT experience. A stock JCW MINI Cooper S won in the Open Division of the Targa Newfoundland rally for the second year in a row. It was up against some cars with a few more modifications. In fact, the MINI was the only true “stock” car in its class. Sure says something about the little car. For a great recap, check out MotoringFile.com. Videos are coming soon. The 2nd annual Mickey and MINI event at Walt Disney World, Florida will take place on Oct. 13 -15, 2006. If you can get to Orlando, FL for this, I would HIGHLY recommend it.
