Announcing The MotoringFun.com MINI Club

Have you ever gone to a MINI meet with your local MINI club? If not, you REALLY need to get out and go to one. They are a BLAST! I have met some of the nicest people through my local club’s MINI events. Just having the chance to talk to other MINI enthusiasts and learning various tidbits about the car from the discussions is worth the effort to attend one.

Over the past couple of weeks, the chat room has hosted some great discussion and people are starting to get to know eachother and form a virtual MINI club of sorts. As a result, I would like to announce that the MotoringFun.com MINI Club has been officially formed and YOU are a member if you have registered for a chat room screen name! Club badges are in the works!

Since we are all in various states and countries, it is not feasable to physically have a meet on a monthly basis like local clubs often do. Instead, we are going to be hosting monthly “Virtual” MINI Meets for the MotoringFun.com MINI Club. For each meet we will try to have a special guest that everyone should know. I am happy to announce that M7 Tuning and Fireball Tim have already agreed to be our guests for our first two events, respectively!

Going forward, the meet schedule will be posted on the Chat page located at:

I may set up a separate “MF MINI Club” page, but if I do I will post an update on the home page.

I can’t believe a month has gone by already! So much has happened since I launched MotoringFun.com a month ago. 40 posts, 51 comments, 2 wallpaper releases, a new MINI Cooper chat room and some great MINI enthusiasts have really made this month a complete blast! A big thanks to all those who have linked back to MotoringFun.com from their sites: SunshineMinis.org, dbmini.us, whiteroofradio.com, dcmini, murmini.com, magicmini.com and thegreaticecreamrun.com. Impromptu WhiteRoofRadio Live Chat is a Success

Well at the last minute right before the live 100th episode of WhiteRoofRado.com was about to be recorded, I got an idea to put up a quick chat room on MotoringFun.com. Found Parachat and it worked like a dream! Thanks to all who participated and to DB, Todd, Gabe and the rest of the WRR cast of characters for letting us be a part of this historic event! We MUST do this again soon!

A Site Dedicated to Fun Motoring!

Hi I’m Pedro and welcome to MotoringFun.com. A collection of fun motoring content from all over the web with a slight emphasis on a certain line of British automobiles known as the MINI (or Mini for those classics). Why start another MINI-realted website you ask?

Well, for quite some time I have been enjoying MINI-related video clips, pictures, etc. either sent to me in e-mails or googling them. I then got tired of not being able to find that one clip that I wanted to share with somebody. So I figured why not put up a site as sort of a collection of my personal favorite fun and cool MINI stuff that I have found online or others have shared with me over the years and make it easy to find in one place. Throw in some new finds as well and, just like that, a website is born. Who knows, I may even post on my own MINI and MINI events that I attend.

This is my first attempt at a blog so please bear with me as I get up to speed. I want to take a moment and thank Gabe from MotoringFile.com for inspiring me to create a MINI site of my own. For years his site has supplied me with my daily MINI fix and I wish him well on his new venture and want to give a warm welcome to the new content master at MotoringFile – DB from WhiteRoofRadio.com who, along with Todd, has also been a great inspiration. Their weekly MINI podcast makes my daily hour-long commute go by much faster. And yes – I did listen to the ENTIRE MTTS special editions to make up for not being able to go :).

I hope you check back often as I hope to bring you some new, and even old, stuff to look at frequently. Feel free to post comments – I would love to hear your feedback!
