A stock JCW MINI Cooper S won in the Open Division of the Targa Newfoundland rally for the second year in a row. It was up against some cars with a few more modifications. In fact, the MINI was the only true “stock” car in its class. Sure says something about the little car. For a great recap, check out MotoringFile.com. Videos are coming soon. As soon as I find one I will post to one. You can also check out MINI.ca for a bunch of Targa goodies.
Looks like Macworld is giving away a free MINI Cooper. Other prizes include a plasma tv and $25,000 cash. Good luck!

I stumbled across this post the other day and it really made me stop and think. It really does sum up what MINI ownership can do to a person. It was posted by MINIBee and I think it is great!
Before my MINI, I didn’t enjoy driving my car. It wasn’t that it was a bad car (1998 Honda CRV) it just wasn’t a fun car and it was just my transportation for a 60-mile round trip commute. I was always in a bad mood when I drove the CRV. In the MINI, however, it’s really hard to be in a bad mood. And a better mood has caused me to be a better person.
This is a pretty cool game from MINIUSA.com that tests your abilty to jump in a MINI Cooper Convertible. It is a lot harder than it looks! WARNING: Start your finger stretching excersizes before playing…. Play it now at MINIUSA.com.
This has to be one of my favorite TV ads that is still on the airwaves. It features 4 Chili Red MINI Cooper S’s racing along ‘Italian Job-style’ complete with some incredible driving sequences. As I was watching the NASCAR race today at Loudon, NH on TNT, they ran this ad and it prompted me to post this :). Enjoy!
Auto Express shows off new pictures of the new MINI Traveller/Clubman in their latest issue.
The boot actually looks pretty roomy. Notice the separate exhaust pipes. I personally think larger tips like the Blue Flame exhaust are in order, but I like it nonetheless. I am still not a fan of the “Fisher Price” interior on the MKII , but I am guessing once I see one in person I may change my mind. Until then I will keep an open mind. Check out the full article at Auto Express.
Check out this AMAZING peice of video footage of a Classic Mini tearing up the asphalt. I have never seen a car move like this!
The 2nd annual Mickey and MINI event at Walt Disney World, Florida will take place on Oct. 13 -15, 2006. If you can get to Orlando, FL for this, I would HIGHLY recommend it. We have a great turn-out last year and this year promises to be even better. For more information, make sure to check out SunshineMINIs.org.
The October issue of Car & Driver has the latest “Secret Decoder” ad on page 71. When you decode it, you can order a free collectible. http://www.minispygear.com

Hi I’m Pedro and welcome to MotoringFun.com. A collection of fun motoring content from all over the web with a slight emphasis on a certain line of British automobiles known as the MINI (or Mini for those classics). Why start another MINI-realted website you ask?
Well, for quite some time I have been enjoying MINI-related video clips, pictures, etc. either sent to me in e-mails or googling them. I then got tired of not being able to find that one clip that I wanted to share with somebody. So I figured why not put up a site as sort of a collection of my personal favorite fun and cool MINI stuff that I have found online or others have shared with me over the years and make it easy to find in one place. Throw in some new finds as well and, just like that, a website is born. Who knows, I may even post on my own MINI and MINI events that I attend.
This is my first attempt at a blog so please bear with me as I get up to speed. I want to take a moment and thank Gabe from MotoringFile.com for inspiring me to create a MINI site of my own. For years his site has supplied me with my daily MINI fix and I wish him well on his new venture and want to give a warm welcome to the new content master at MotoringFile – DB from WhiteRoofRadio.com who, along with Todd, has also been a great inspiration. Their weekly MINI podcast makes my daily hour-long commute go by much faster. And yes – I did listen to the ENTIRE MTTS special editions to make up for not being able to go :).
I hope you check back often as I hope to bring you some new, and even old, stuff to look at frequently. Feel free to post comments – I would love to hear your feedback! If you have some fun MINI or Mini stuff to share, please submit it to me at the following e-mail address. Please note – for SPAM-reasons you will need to re-construct the e-mail address manually:

Now without further delay…. let’s have some Motoring Fun!
