North American MINI Challenge M7 Tuning

NASHVILLE — M7 Tuning of Lakewood, California is the latest addition to the growing list of ìofficialî sponsors of the North American MINI Cooper Championship (NAMCC). As an ìofficialî sponsor of the NAMCC, M7 Tuning has agreed to equip and modify the Phil Wicksí MINI Cooper ìSî to NAMCCís Group 4 configuration in preparation for the 2007 NAMCC season.

ìM7 Tuning is a great addition to our stable of official sponsors of the seriesî, said NAMCC organizer, Phil Wicks. ìThey are keenly aware of the marketing capability that the series presents to them and I look forward to a growing relationship in the future. They are experts in MINI Cooper performance and their equipment on our MCS will provide greater excitement to our series as well as our students at the Phil Wicks MINI Driving Academy.î

The NAMCC commenced its second season of MINI racing at Spring Mountain Motorsports Raceway near Las Vegas, NV on Friday, March 23rd. In addition to MINI racing, NAMCCís television partner MavTV, filmed a portion of their hit show ìBikini All Starsî at the event. In honor of the NAMCC, in addition to their usual bikini attire, several of the Bikini All-Star contestants were to appear in their best ìmini-skirtsî along side the NAMCC MINI Cooper race cars adding a festive flair to the commencement of the 2007 racing season. In 2006, NAMCC secured national television coverage of the race series by entering into a three-year television partnership with the recently launched MavTV (www.mavtv.com) cable network. For 2007, MavTV has agreed to televise more of the 2007 NAMCC with more trackside and in-car cameras in operation at the Spring Mountain event to kick off the 2007 racing season.

The NAMCC is a racing series designed to be exclusively for the new generation MINI Cooper as well as entrants who can campaign the classic Mini Cooper. The vision created by series organizer and veteran Mini campaigner, Phil Wicks, is for a competitive and cost-effective racing arena where racers can enjoy the superb handling and performance characteristics of the MINI/Mini Cooper. The series features both an east coast and a west coast series with racers meeting this year at Hallett Motor Racing circuit for a season-ending championship run-off event on October 28th that will crown the series champion.
