For the past eleven years, I have joined other MINIacs at the Walt Disney World Resort for the annual Mickey & MINI event that takes place each September. This year’s festivities were awesome and everyone had a fabulous time! If you haven’t had a chance to make it to a Mickey & MINI, you really need to plan on coming next year.

While the event officially kicked off on Friday night, a group of about 30 started the party a little early on Thursday with a visit to the Magic Kingdom and a pre-event dinner at Sea Dog Brewery.

Friday morning kicked off with a fabulous breakfast buffet at Boma at the Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge and then vendor alley opened up at the Disney Coronado Springs Convention Center.

The car show voting took place that afternoon and the winners were announced at the welcome dinner later that evening. Clark got the privilege of being parked inside the banquet room during the dinner.

I was ecstatic to find out that Clark not only took 1st place in the “Hardtop” category, but also took “Best In Show”!!!

The night wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the local go-kart track to bump and bang with the Mickey & MINI go-kart regulars ;). We had a great time as always.

Saturday morning was full of activities including a morning motoring run that included a breakfast stop, a scavenger hunt, Drinking Around the World at EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival and a trip to the Orlando Eye.

Overall it was a fantastic weekend and a huge thanks to Becky & Luis Mendez and Andrea & Troy Falk of the Sunshine MINIs who put on a great event!!
