Looks like MINI has started sending out invitations for their new marketing campaign. Remeber those electronic billboards? Well it appears that they are a bit cooler than a billboard with a digital message. It appears that the digital message changes based on certain MINIs driving by them! That’s right! These billboards will be displaying personalized messages to YOU if you are equipped with the special key fob required for this. Certain owners have been selected to take part in this program and an e-mail invite has gone out. Talk about a way to personalize your motoring !!
Now here is the kicker – for those that know me and my MINI, you know that my car is named “Scooter”. Well click the invite below and see what MINI used as the sample personalized greeting!! Man – the personalization has started already!! 🙂 Thanks to montyformula1 for sending this in!

As many of you know, we have been following along as our Motoring Fun UK Correspondent, popey, has been awaiting the arrival of his new 2007 MINI Cooper S. Well the day finally came and the car has been picked up. Here are some pictures that popey snapped today. My favorite is the Navigation System with the TV tuner option – how cool is that?!?!

I just LOVE this roof graphic!! This has to be one of the most creative expressions I have seen on the top of a MINI Cooper. A perfect match if you ask me… Apple enthusiasts are just about as passionate about their devices as MINI owners are about their cars. And then there are those that love both :).

Attention Motoring Fun MINI Club members – send in your pictures of your MINI or Mini. If you really want to get crazy, send in a picture with YOU and your MINI / Mini. Submit your photos to site.gallery01 @ motoringfun.com. Please make sure to name your files in the following format “username001.jpg”, “username002.jpg”, etc. This will help me sort and organize them much easier. Also, if you could please limit your pictures to no wider than 800 px and no taller than 600 px that would help as well.

Well another Mickey and MINI has come and gone. I had an absolute blast. From the Friday night car show to the welcome dinner and awards presentation to Saturday’s early morning drive to eating and drinking around the world @ EPCOT – it was great fun. It amazes me each time I attend a MINI event such as this to see such nice people come out and just have a good time with people they have never met. Sure, talking on forums or in a chat room is nice, but putting a face to a screen name is pretty cool. The wheels are in motion to get ideas down for next year. With the help of some national exposure from MINIUSA, next year should be awesome! Make sure you make plans to join us next October for Mickey and MINI 3 :). Here are some pics from the weekend. I have many more that I will post later as soon as I get my gallery running.
